A Small, Yet Effective, Lifestyle Change That Has Improved My Life

Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well this Tuesday afternoon. I wanted to come on here and quickly share something that I’ve been doing lately that has made a significant impact on my life.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I used to create fitness routines for busy moms. The idea came to me because of the sheer fact that many of us moms barely have enough time in the day to exercise because we’re so busy. I stopped creating those routines because I lost my motivation to work out.

About a month and a half of neglecting to workout resulted in my clothes becoming a bit too tight (not cute). I was attempting to get into my favorite pair of shorts and was disappointed at how I looked in them. That drove me to get my fitness and health back on track.

A workout challenge that sparked my love of exercising

On the 8th of July, I began to consistently exercise again. I started out by completing the 2-week shred program by Chloe Ting (If you’ve ever done any of her workouts, what did you think of them? Did you see results? Comment down below.). At the beginning of that 2-week challenge, I struggled! I was barely keeping up, and I wanted to give up on several occasions. Instead of succumbing to those thoughts of giving up, I stuck with it. By the end of that challenge, I was stronger and had way more endurance than I had at the beginning. Physically, there wasn’t much of a change. I honestly didn’t expect to see much physical difference in two weeks. I was proud of myself for sticking to it.

After completing that challenge, I decided to keep the trend of working out daily going. As a result of that, my clothes have gotten a little looser, and my mind has become sharper. Exercising regularly has given me more confidence, endurance, and mental sharpness.

It’s tough, but you can do it

I was doing back down the path of unhealthy living. It got to a point where I stood in the mirror, not liking what I was seeing, and saying, “I have got to do better. This is not how I want my body to look. Something has to change.” And it did! By merely exercising daily, I’ve gotten my health and life back on the right track. Was it easy? NO! Is it worth it? MOST DEFINITELY!

Motivation for you

NO MORE EXCUSES! Your health is essential. You don’t have to do as I did and work out daily. You can easily choose three to four days out of the week to push yourself with an at-home workout, or at the gym (I hear some gyms are open now).

If getting into better shape is a goal of yours, you need to make a conscious effort to do what you need to do to go after it. If you need an accountability partner, get one! One thing I will say about that is to not rely on them to always motivate you. You should be able to drive yourself as well. Whoever your accountability partner is may not always be available to help you (keep that in mind).

August Workout Challenge

Over the entire month of August, I’m going to do my very best to exercise every single day. Even though I have scheduled rest days, I will be completing less-intense workouts on those days. At the end of the month, I will share my results with you guys! I’m excited to embark on this journey to getting into better shape.
