My Simple Wash and Go Routine

Hey everyone!

I wanted to come on here and share with you guys my typical curly hair wash-day routine. Wash-day, for me, is simple. I typically wash my hair once a week, no more than that. I also use products or a product line that doesn’t require a lot of steps to complete. As a busy mom and wife, I do not have the time to add unnecessary steps to my routine. Which is why I stick to products that I know will work best for my hair.

Without further ado, let’s get started!

Wait! Before we get started, I want to share some information about my hair.

  • My curls are color-treated (a known fact about me is I love coloring my hair)
  • I have a looser curl pattern (I would say I’m maybe a 3c… I’m not entirely sure)
  • I’ve been natural my whole life.

Step 1: Shampoo

I start by shampooing my hair with Camille Rose Sweet Ginger Cleansing Rinse. This product claims to be “crafted to cleanse strands without stripping moisture.” I can honestly say that those claims are valid. Every single time I’ve used this product, my hair feels clean and extremely moisturized. The smell (sweet ginger and lemon peel) is different from what I was used to, but I appreciate that the scent is tolerable.

I wash my hair twice before moving to the next step.

Step 2: Conditioner

For conditioner, I use Camille Rose Moroccan Pear Conditioning Custard. This product claims to “nurture dry strands and promote accelerated hair growth with potent B vitamins.” This conditioner has done wonders on my color-treated hair. I can tell that this conditioner penetrates my strands and indeed conditions them. I give this product a 10/10.

After rinsing it out, my hair feels EXTREMELY soft and moisturized.

Step 3: Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!

After shampooing and conditioning, I like to wrap a t-shirt around my head to soak up as much water as possible from my hair. Once my hair is damp, I remove the shirt and begin to apply my styling products.

The first product is vitamin E oil. This oil is excellent for improving scalp circulation, adds shine, promotes a healthy scalp, and many other benefits. Since I began using this oil towards the end of last year, I’ve noticed that my scalp isn’t as itchy, and my hair looks healthy and shiny.

The other product that I use is Camille Rose Honey Hydrate. This product is EVERYTHING! It’s a leave-in that is oh-so moisturizing. I love this product because you don’t have to use a lot of it (a little goes a long way). It smells sweet, and it’s thick. Some of the ingredients include honey, olive fruit oil, castor seed oil, aloe leaf juice, bilberry fruit, sugar cane, and a few others. Overall, I give this product a 10/10.

Below are the results of a successful wash and go using the products mentioned above. My curls have never looked this juicy before. I know Camille Rose is a bit on the expensive side, but, as you can see, the results are amazing!

My go-to style has to be the wash and go. It’s simple and it saves me a lot of time. What’s your go-to style?? Comment down below!

So, there you have it! A simple wash-day routine that I do every single week. What are some of your favorite shampoos, conditioners, and styling products? Comment them down below!

Have a wonderful day!!
