10 Things I Would Like For You To Know About Me!

1) I’ve been blogging for eight years.

I began my blogging journey right after I finished high school. As I mentioned before, writing has been helping me through many different circumstances, good and bad. I nervously decided to take my words to the internet. I’ve had several blogs before, but I know that this one will have more meaning more transparency (which is my goal).

2)   I have a slight obsession with water bottles.

Ever since high school, my obsession with water bottles has sky rocketed. The girly side of me loves being able to drink my water from a bright pink or colorful water bottle. I find that I drink more water when I drink it from a water bottle that’s cool and colorful.

3)   I’m a wife and mother of two.

My husband and I have been married for five years, and we have two beautiful, energetic children together.

4)   I love Mexican food!

Mexican food has become my favorite food over the past couple of years! I recently discovered a Mexican restaurant near me that sells some AMAZING food. My favorite from the menu would have to be their queso dip and steak chimichangas.

5)   The beach is my happy place.

Sitting on the soft, beige-colored sand staring out into the ocean, listening to the sounds of seagulls, waves crashing against the seashore, laughter, and the wind blowing softly. The sea puts my mind at ease.

6)   I cannot sing to save my life, but I enjoy doing it anyway.

My current favorite songs are:

  • “Know You” by Koryn Hawthrowne ft. Steffany Gretzinger
  • “10K” by KB
  • “Video” by India.Arie
  • “Burn the Ships” by for King & Country
  • “For God Is With Us” by for King & Country

What are some of your current favorite songs? Let me know in the comment section below.

7)   I enjoy meeting and getting to know new people.

Being able to branch out and meet new people is frightening and exciting at the same time. I wasn’t always so willing to get out there and enjoy social interactions. For years, my fear of rejection resulted in me living in my comfort zone. I would avoid social gatherings. After a while, not having a social life was becoming unbearable. It took me some time, but I’m more comfortable with social interactions.

8) My favorite shows to binge on at night is Law & Order SVU and Regular Show.

After a long day, I like to wind down with a snack and binge-watch Law & Order SVU (when I want to watch something suspenseful) or Regular Show (when I need a good laugh).

9)   When I’m not feeling my best emotionally, I go on mini road trips with my kids.

There’s something about getting behind the wheel, with no particular destination in mind and music blasting through the car speakers. Doing this simple thing brings calmness to my mind and spirit.

10)       I’m slowly learning to live more minimalistic.

I HATE clutter! I have grown tired of holding onto items that aren’t useful or wearable. I recently decided to go through all of my belongings, pick out everything that I couldn’t wear, or didn’t want anymore, and donate those items. Once I got rid of those things, I felt a lot lighter.

If you haven’t done this already, I would encourage you to go through your things and see what isn’t of use to you anymore. Donate what could be useful to someone else, and get rid of things that you or someone else couldn’t use.

Before You Go…

So, there you have it! You’ve learned ten things about me. You’ll learn more as I share more, so please subscribe and stay tuned!

Before you go, I was hoping you could share one thing you would like for me to know about you!
