Get To Know Me!

Hi everyone, and welcome to Armored with Faith! I’m super thankful that you’ve decided to join me today.

Before we get into this post, I want to give you an overview of what I hope to accomplish with this blog. Since I was twelve years old, writing has been my saving grace. As a timid girl who lacked confidence, I relied on writing to get me through the many tough times that I faced as a teen, even into my adulthood.

Armored with Faith will be filled with resources to aid in your spiritual development. Resources like weekly and monthly Bible Scripture Writing plans, devotionals designed to help you grow in your faith, and journaling prompts for personal and spiritual development.

Also, prepare for content surrounding the topic of building and maintaining self-confidence. From acknowledging and healing from past trauma to everyday tips to improve your confidence, Armored with Faith is going to provide you with the practical tools that you will need to increase and maintain your self-confidence.

Throughout this blog, I will be sharing how I utilized my faith to get through different circumstances in my life and how I built my confidence. I hope to help those seeking guidance by building faith and self-confidence. I pray to be a shining light for those who don’t think they can make it through. Teaching how to utilize faith through whatever life throws at you and gain self-confidence is the mission of Armored with Faith!

The topics that will be discussed on this blog are:

1.   Faith / Christian living
2.   Confidence-building
3.   Fitness
4.   Productivity / Life Hacks

10 Things I Would Like For You To Know About Me!

1) I’ve been blogging for eight years.

I began my blogging journey right after I finished high school. As I mentioned before, writing has been helping me through many different circumstances, good and bad. I nervously decided to take my words to the internet. I’ve had several blogs before, but I know that this one will have more meaning more transparency (which is my goal).

2)   My favorite color is pink.

There’s something about the color pink that makes me happy!

3)   I’m a wife and mother of two.

My husband and I have been married for four years, and we have two beautiful, energetic children together.

4)   I love Mexican food!

Mexican food has become my favorite food over the past couple of years!

5)   The beach is my happy place.

Sitting on the soft, beige-colored sand staring out into the ocean, listening to the sounds of seagulls, waves crashing against the seashore, laughter, and the wind blowing softly. The sea puts my mind at ease.

6)   I cannot sing to save my life, but I enjoy doing it anyway.

My current favorite songs are:

  • “Know You” by Koryn Hawthrowne ft. Steffany Gretzinger
  • “10K” by KB
  • “Video” by India.Arie
  • “Burn the Ships” by for King & Country
  • “For God Is With Us” by for King & Country

What are some of your current favorite songs? Let me know in the comment section below.

7)   I enjoy meeting and getting to know new people.

Being able to branch out and meet new people is frightening and exciting at the same time. I wasn’t always so willing to get out there and enjoy social interactions. For years, my fear of rejection resulted in me living in my comfort zone. I would avoid social gatherings. After a while, not having a social life was becoming unbearable. It took me some time, but I’m more comfortable with social interactions at this current moment.

8) My favorite shows to binge on at night is Law & Order SVU and Regular Show.

After a long day, I like to wind down with a snack and binge-watch Law & Order SVU (when I want to watch something suspenseful) or Regular Show (when I need a good laugh).

9)   When I’m not feeling my best emotionally, I go on mini road trips with my kids.

There’s something about getting behind the wheel, with no particular destination in mind and music blasting through the car speakers. Doing this simple thing brings calmness to my mind and spirit.

10)       I’m slowly learning to live more minimalistic.

I HATE clutter! I have grown tired of holding onto items that aren’t useful or wearable. I recently decided to go through all of my belongings, pick out everything that I couldn’t wear, or didn’t want anymore, and donate those items. Once I got rid of those things, I felt a lot lighter.

So, there you have it! You’ve learned ten things about me. You’ll learn more as I share more, so please subscribe and stay tuned!

Before you go, I was hoping you could share one thing you would like for me to know about you!
