Hi, and welcome!
How are you doing?
I hope all is well with you.
It’s Wednesday, and it’s time for a thought-provoking devotional! I’m anxious yet excited to dive into today’s devotional because I feel that it’s something that many Christians, especially new Christians, struggle with sometimes.
Before diving into this devotional, I want to acknowledge that everyone’s walk with Christ is different. Here on Armored with Faith, I’m striving to share my walk with Christ while giving you practical advice on how you can have a more fulfilling relationship with Him. Please, join me as we explore many topics surrounding the subjects of faith and Christian living.
God, Did You Hear Me?!
Can I ask you a question?
Do you ever wonder if God hears your prayers?
If I’m being honest, I do.
These past couple of weeks have been tremendously difficult emotionally and mentally. You would think that I would’ve relied on God to bring me through at that time, but, in all honesty, I fell into a slump. I assumed that because I was going through what I was going through, God wasn’t listening to me. I thought that all of the praying and pleading I was doing didn’t mean anything. For a short time, I stopped praying.
It wasn’t until a few days ago that a deep cry and an almost three-mile jog prompted me to pray. In that prayer, I was honest with God about what and how I was feeling. While having that conversation with God, I realized that I rely too much on my own abilities to “manage” things. Yes, we play a part in resolving whatever situation we’re here, but in those times, we need to rely on God’s strength and His Word to keep us encouraged during our good times and not-so-good times.
God Listens To Your Prayers!
I want to encourage you today to keep praying! 1 Peter 5:7 states, “ Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Whatever you may be going through, whatever worries you may have, cast them on God.
He cares for you!
He loves you!
He wants what’s best for you!
- At this current moment, how are you feeling? Why?
- What do you need/want right now?
- When was the last time you had an honest conversation with God? How did you feel afterward?
- Make a list of the prayers that have been answered.
